AJR LIVE!! | PNC ARENA

AJR hit PNC Arena in Raleigh on Tuesday, April 9th with opener Dean Lewis. The opening show was really great and Dean’s song ‘7 Minutes’ was heartfelt and just so good. I really loved his set.

If you don’t know much about the headliner, AJR stands for brothers Adam, Jack & Ryan. Hailing from New York City, AJR released their first album ’LIVING ROOM’ in 2015 and their crowds have been growing ever since. The crowd at PNC was fairly young and full of very excited fans, so of course as soon as they took the stage, everyone pretty much lost it. Unlike most of the concerts I go to, this show was very heavy on lighting, screens & graphics. They are considered an American Indie Pop band, & man they are really, really good. Some of their songs ‘BANG’ & ‘The Good Part’ were my favorites of the night, but others like ‘Weak’, ‘Yes I’m A Mess’ & ‘Burn the House Down’ got the arena dancing. If you read my articles, you know I love when the band interacts with the crowd and AJR obviously LOVE their fans! They were talking to them, reading their signs & even trying on a hat that one girl wore. They have a super high energy level on stage and put on a great show!
