TRAIN LIVE!! | WALNUT CREEK RALEIGH

Train performed at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh on 07.01.22 to a packed venue of screaming fans. Train formed in 1993 and rose the music charts and gained fans around the world with hit songs such as “Hey sister, soul sister”, “Drops of Jupiter”, “Calling all Angels”, “Meet Virginia” and many more! For their current tour they have two very well known openers, the singer songwriter Jewel and the rock band Blues Traveler. The show was incredible, Blues Traveler knocked it out of the park with their performance. They brought fun and excitement to the stage while bringing us some classic songs including their big hit “Runaround”. They definitely made a wise choice binging Blue Traveler on tour and having them open the show. We unfortunately did not cover Jewel so we are unable to give an overview of her performance. After Jewels performance the crowd got ready for the headliners Train. You could see everyone was excited to be there and were patiently waiting for Train to hit the stage. When the lights dimmed the place exploded with screaming fans and then Train walked out on stage. They were energized and happy, engaging with the fans and really bringing the love to Raleigh NC. Lead singer Pat Monahan even let some of the front row fans toss their phones to him and he would take a selfie with their phones then toss it back to them. You saw everyone in the front row raising up their phones hoping he would pick them to toss their phone to him. You saw a few people blindly throwing their phones on stage but luckily not very many did that. He then put on a shirt that stated “Meet Virginia” as he sang their hit song with the same name. Pat then went around the stage to his other bandmates and had them sign the t-shirt he was wearing. Once they all signed the shirt he took it off, then picked someone out of the crowd and tossed them this signed t-shirt. It was so fun to see everyone so excited to hear them perform.

Train played a phenomenal set and sounded amazing. They did not skip a beat and even played a few cover songs from other well known bands including an Aerosmith cover! This show a special show not only for me but many other people. Train as a band has been a staple in my life since high school. Being able to see them still perform at such an incredible level and having so many people enjoying their music was a great experience. If you get the chance to see them live you don’t want to miss out on their performance. Train is still rocking out venues across the U.S.
