OUR LAST NIGHT LIVE!! | RITZ VENUE

On the 22nd of May, Our Last Night brought their The Covers Only Tour to The Ritz in Raleigh, NC. The opening band Normandie, coming all the way from Stockholm, got the crowd warmed up. They were really good. They definitely gained some new fans that night. The second band, Broadside, amped it up in the packed Ritz. From the beginning to the end of their set, they kept their foot on the gas. One thing I noticed during their set is that they always thanked the audience for being there to watch the opening bands and themselves. I thought that was pretty cool of them. They got the Ritz ready for the headliner and set the tone for them. Then, the moment everyone was there for the lights went down and Our Last Night began to take the stage. They played a news clip from an interview where the news reporter asked if they cared that they were being called unoriginal and copying people's songs, with them saying...NO. Now, if you don't know anything besides the epic covers, they do, Our Last NIght has a ton of original songs. But for tonight, it was only the covers. Everyone sang along and had a blast. And I have to be honest, their covers are better than some of the originals. I will put their covers up with Disturbed's cover of The Sound Of Silence, Johnny Cash's cover of Nine Inch Nails Hurt, and others of the best of ALL TIME. I said it and stood by it. From Shape of You to Iris, the show was a nonstop hit after hit. I found myself liking a few I haven't heard better than the original, like Dark Horse, Last Night, and You've Got a Friend in Me. This is a tour that you have to check out. Not a single person in there left without a smile and talking about which song they liked best. For a band who got their start doing covers, I hope they don't stop covering songs. I personally can't wait to hear the next new songs they cover, along with some originals. Our Last Night gives 100% and is an awesome band to see live! You will not be let down.
